TRY THIS FANCY RECIPE!

Mediterranean Chicken

 

(Flavors of this dish are more pronounced if you marinade the chicken overnight before cooking)

8 chicken legs or breasts

1/2 cup pitted green olives

1 can artichoke hearts

1 whole head garlic

1/4 cup olive oil

1/3 cup red wine vinegar

1 tablespoon oregano

2 tablespoons capers

1/2 cup Dalton Canaan white wine

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup dried prunes or red seedless grapes

OSEM Israeli couscous

Place chicken pieces in a roasting pan with olives, artichoke hearts, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, oregano, and capers. Refrigerate overnight. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Scatter the prunes (or red seedless grapes or both) in the roasting pan. Place in oven and reduce heat to 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Pour in the white wine and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the chicken. Place back in the oven and roast for about 40 minutes more, basting approx. every 15 minutes. Serve with couscous and enjoy!!!

TRY THE FOLLOWING RECIPE:

- Defrost 1 package (8 squares) of Kineret pastry for about 25 min
Sautee 1 onion (chopped) in 5 tablespoons of olive oil
- Add one 16 Oz package of ground beef, salt, pepper, parsley or dill
- Cook the meat until it is almost ready, stirring occasionally
- Place a scoop of the mixture in the middle of each square, fold opposite corners of the square to the middle to form a turnover, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with Everything seasoning 
- Bake the dough squares for 20 min on parchment paper in a lightly oiled baking sheet at 390 degrees F
- Cool for a few minutes and serve with a bowl of soup, as an appetizer or a side dish. Be'Teavon!
